RFID labels and tags

Alongside barcode technology, RFID is now conquering the world of identification. The combination of a data storage unit (chip) and an antenna offers new options for reading data without any visual contact and multiple capturing of containers with one reading operation.

Usually, the "young" RFID technology goes hand in hand with conventional information that can be read by humans – i.e. normal labels and tags. The labels and tags are therefore an information carrier for the personnel and, equally, the transponder is for automation. At the same time, it ensures the proper placement and, therefore, high availability of information.

S+P Samson GmbH started to include RFID in solutions for the metal industry very early on. Intelligent and practical data carriers ensure that information can be captured via radio in spite of the shielding properties of metal.

Your benefits at a glance:

  • RFID solutions for metallic environments
  • RFID solutions for high-temperature applications
  • Automation of the identification process, e.g. when loading by crane
  • Reliable material flow organisation due to permanent verification

 Simple and efficient

Today, RFID technology can be used in industrial environments without any problems. Data can be transferred during the printing process on both laser and thermal transfer printers. Software solutions ensure that multiple capture is excluded when products and/or packages are separated. This provides reliability for the application and prevents unpleasant surprises.

Wireless data transfer

The advantages of RFID technology are clear: the reading of data across distances of up to 8 metres without any visual contact to the data carrier is an innovation. Material movements using cranes or fork lift trucks can be captured and controlled automatically.
