a crane unloads coils from the ship and the crane operator sees the package's ID on the screen. RFID makes it possible, despite 25 tonnes of steel.
An antenna on the crane automatically reads the transponder data at a distance of up to 10 metres. The read rate is important for the system - missing labels become a problem.
